SYMPHONIC EXPLORATIONS (v2)

An orchestral MIDI mock-up designed to demonstrate the strengths and versatility of Eastwest Quantum Leap’s Symphonic Orchestra sample library, while maintaining a very low resource footprint. Calm and flowing, bombastic and playful, the piece transitions through several cinematic moments in order to cover a variety of musical styles.

What's included

The Project File

Get access to and learn from all of the MIDI and CC data used to sculpt the final performance

Printed audio STEMS for each section of the orchestra, so you don’t have to load the samples to follow along

Track layout, signal flow, and routing optimized for simplicity and light resource usage

Project markers to point out techniques used as they happen on the timeline

A mixture of track types are used to illustrate how each one can be used, including keyswitches, expression maps/articulation sets, multi-timbral, and individual instrument tracks.

F.A.Q

I don't have the sample libraries listed. Can I still use the project file?

Yes. You can load the “LITE” project and work with the audio stems that cover all of the used sample libraries, or you can replace the sample libraries used with your own. Note that it will not sound the same as the full mix provided.

I don't use Cubase or Logic. Can I still use this project?

As of this writing, the files included will only work with either Cubase or Logic.

I’d suggest signing up to our newsletter to be informed when more DAWs are supported.

Does this work with OPUS?

Yes! This product includes project files created for the OPUS player

Is the a version available for PLAY?

Yes. You can purchase the legacy version for PLAY from here: https://synthestration.com/product/symphonic-explorations-play/

Owners of Symphonic Explorations can purchase it for free, as long as you are logged into your account.

Note that this version is no longer supported, and might experience compatibility issues with plugin versions.

  1. Question

    Ron

Love this piece, and would love to check it out as I have this full library, but don’t have either of these DAWs. A MIDI File and Score version would be an insta-buy from me on this one. Any chance that might be added at some point? Also, will any of these projects be produced in Reaper going forward?

Hi Ron, thanks for the kind words! While there is no MIDI & Score option available for this product just yet, it is planned for a future update.
There is currently no plan to provide a Reaper version, but that could change in the future. Thanks!
