As an official demo for Spitfire Audio’s Abbey Road Orchestra: Symphonic Strings, “Adagio” draws attention to the soft and delicate side of the library, exploring lyrical legato and expressive melodies, complimented by harp.

Description

Project File

ADAGIO

An “almost naked” demo of Abbey Road Orchestra Symphonic Strings. Raw, exposed, yet still warm and lush – the fluffy texture of pianissimo strings weaving in and out of rich harmonies, performing legato passages that are deceptively challenging for sample libraries.

Explore the project file to study how these virtual instruments were programmed, performed, produced, mixed, and finalized as a polished production. Optionally, use it as a template for your own productions, or extract the track list to integrate with an existing template, all with the mix and plugin settings in tact.

The Project File

All of the MIDI and CC data used to sculpt the final performance

Printed audio STEMS for each section of the string orchestra, so you can still hear the project even without owning all the sample libraries used.

Track layout, signal flow, and routing optimized for flexibility and easy STEM printing

Notated Score

Included is the full concert score in PDF format.

Read along with the project playback and solo individual instruments for detailed study of how written score can translate into a virtual performance.

Alternatively, use the score to recreate the piece in your own DAW

Plugins & Production

See how the final mix was shaped using 3rd-party plugins, or swap them for the equivalent stock plugins that are already loaded for you, waiting to be enabled.

Bypass plugins to hear the before and after to fully understand the importance of production.

See how reverb and spatial plugins were used to enhance the width and dimension of the orchestra.

F.A.Q

I don't have all of the sample libraries listed. Can I still use the project file?

Yes. You can load the “Lite” project and work with the audio stems that cover all of the used sample libraries, or you can replace the sample libraries used with your own. Note that it will not sound the same as the full mix provided.

I don't use Cubase. Can I still use this project?

There is a “MIDI + Score” option that you can use to import into your own DAW. Note that you will not get any of the mix or instrument settings that were used in the project.
